The top 100 school level winners will advance to state level and compete to see who will advance to the National Championship, which will be hosted by Alex Trebek.

The winner of the National Championship will take home a $25,000 college scholarship and many other prizes. The national competition will take place on May 19 and 20 in Washington, D.C., and will be televised on PBS.

Quiz Bowl

In November students from the middle school participate in the annual Quiz Bowl competition.  This tournament tests students' problem solving and reasoning skills as well as their general knowledge of current events, literature, science, geography, English, history, the arts and mathematics.  The team approach to the event allows more of our students to participate.  They practice for the two allowable weeks before the competition.  The Quiz Bowl team is also involved with Quiz Busters Jr. at WKAR in Lansing .  A team of 4 students competes and the competition is televised.  Also new this year is the our involvement with the Knowledge Master Competition.  Our entire Quiz Bowl team competes in this timed competition.
