Champion's Club

Each and everyday the teachers at Quincy Middle School notice students that are just doing what they are suppose to be doing.  Things like....completing assignments, helping others, being polite, having good attendance.  We believe students should be recognized for good citizenship.  The purpose of the Champion's Club is  to reward kids for having behavior that is appropriate for school and demonstrating good citizenship.  Hey it is not about having all A's or having and A on every assignment.......NOPE.....it is about just doing what a student should....and for that we want to reward you.

Welcome to the Champion's Club.  Every six weeks YOU are a MEMBER!!!!  Your membership will continue unless you choose behavior that will result in your being removed from the Champion's Club.

With the first day of school, every student is considered a member of the Champion's Club for the second marking period.  The guidelines are listed below.... be a Champion!!!

 Am I a Champion NOW?

Yes, every student is on the Champion's Club at the beginning of each six weeks.  They will be removed for the following reasons....

1.      Any Disciplinary Write-Up (including inappropriate behavior for substitutes)

2.      Any Disciplinary Detention (including tardies that result in a detention)

3.      Any Assignment/Help Detention (assignments were not turned in)

4.      Consistent Inappropriate Classroom or Hallway Behavior (as decided by the teacher)  Things like pushing, shoving, running, rudeness, inappropriate language, bullying, etc.  If you have difficulty displaying correct behavior, your teacher will discuss his/her concern and if the behavior continues, your teacher will have your name removed from the Champions Club

5.      Four or more tardies in six-week period.

So, big deal, what is so great about being in the Champion's Club?

Are you kidding me?????  What a deal.  How about early lunch release to begin with.  Imagine every Wednesday, you are simply allowed to leave class five minutes early for lunch.  Be the first in line!  Extra time to chat with friends.  And 35 minute lunchtime....now that is cool.

And there are other rewards.....your name posted in the entry way, and the opportunity to win big prizes, maybe a bike, TV, free lunches at area businesses, CD players, IPOD's, who knows....we have just started shopping for prizes to be awarded at the end of the year.  Every six weeks you are in the Champions Club....your name is entered in the drawing for the big prizes at the end of the year.  You could have 5 chances if you were in the Champion's Club every marking period beginning with the 1st through the 6th.  So stay on course and keep your name on the list.  At the end of the first marking period  we will post the names of the students still on the list from the 1st marking period and ready for the extra long lunch.  Then at the beginning of the second marking period, everybody is back on with the chance to win prizes for the 3rd marking period.  This continues all year.

A special award awaits students who have been in the Champion's Club all year!

Hey 8th Graders........

Tired of a small locker?????   Special Reward for 8th Graders:  Drawing every six weeks for the tall lockers.  The winning students will be able to use one of the tall lockers in the 8th grade hallway for the next six weeks.
