Crime Scene Investigation - SOAR Program
Mystery Festival

Who killed Felix Navidad?  Was it chemist Vera Cruise or computer programmer Alfredo Fettuccine?  Or perhaps it was his not so good friend Kendra Goode?  Of course office manager Gene Poule was named in Felix's will along with the other three.  And where exactly is the missing body?

Those were the questions posed to Quincy 4th, 5th and 6th graders at the week-long C.S.I. program this summer at Quincy Middle School.  The program, part of Quincy's "Student Opportunities - Achievement Rocks" summer enrichment program challenged the students to solve the mystery of Felix Navidad.  The 23 students mapped the crime scene, cataloged clues, heard statements from the suspects and did lab analysis of the evidence.  Trooper Obarski from the Michigan State Police Post in Coldwater also came in to give the students pointers and to show them how evidence is collected in the field.  At the end of the week teams were asked to present their suspect and the evidence against him or her.
So who did it?
